Originally from Mississauga but move to Ottawa to attend Game Development at Algonquin College. One of his main missions is to help share the joy of game development and grow the Ottawa community. OJam being one of his main ventures and OUUG (Ottawa Unity User Group).
team-jillian Jillian Mood Co-Founder & Chief Fun Office (CFO)Jillian Mood has been working as an HR Leader for over 10 years, specializing with entertainment companies and more recently the game industry. Along with all things talent, she played a key role in keeping game companies culture exciting and positive and was also a brand ambassador. The last couple years she began getting very involved in the industry by co-founding the very successful Ottawa Game Jam (OJam), advising and working on game conferences, speaking at large events such as: Montreal International Game Summit (MIGS), Game Connection Paris, Respawn Germany and many more. She also heavily promotes the game industry in her region to help both studios and the independent developer community grow. Jillian got to know IGDA by joining and then becoming the co-chair for her local chapter, IGDA Ottawa, and is now running initiatives globally with game studios all over the world.
team-mike Mike Desjardins Co-Founder & Go To GuyMike threw himself into the game industry back in early 2014 after a long career in IT. Since his change in career he’s become a Unity Asset Publisher, does freelance game development in Unity, is helping do a technical review on a Unity Book, helps out with Ottawa Unity User Group, helped co-found the Ottawa Game Jam, and also just started a new studio called Hidden Lanterns where he’s the Lead Programmer. He’s a beast that charges head on into any challenge, he’s probably the coolest guy to know, he’s also really good at writing his own bio’s.
